The following notation for material parameters is used:
characteristic value of cylindrical strength of concrete in compression
design strength of concrete in compression
average value of strength of concrete in compression
average value of tensile strength of concrete
lower value of the characteristic tensile strength of concrete
design strength of concrete in tension
characteristic strength of steel
design strength of steel in tension
The characteristic compressive strength of concrete is the basic input parameter given by the class of concrete - it serves to derive the remaining coefficients of reliability (Tbl. 3.1).
αcc, γc, αct, γs are built-in the program - these values can also be input by the user depending on the selected National annex.
The most common notation for geometrical parameters:
effective depth of cross-section
lever arm (arm of internal forces)
